Mark Duley is Artistic Director of Irish Baroque and co-founded the orchestra with Therese Timoney in 1996. He has directed both the orchestra and the choir of Christ Church Cathedral Dublin in widely acclaimed period instrument performances of Bach and Handel. Amongst Mark's other responsibilities are that of Chorusmaster to the RTÉ Philharmonic Choir and Festival Director of the Dublin International Organ and Choral Festival.  He is much in demand around the country as conductor, organist, teacher and adjudicator. 

For 11 years he was Organist and Director of Music at Christ Church Cathedral – a post he resigned in February of this year.  During his time at the cathedral, he was responsible for the cathedral's five weekly choral services. He directed the cathedral's principal choir in tours in Europe and New Zealand, on five CD recordings, in many concerts, and in several broadcasts for both the RTÉ and BBC networks. He also founded the cathedral girls' choir in 1995, and with them undertook two foreign tours and a CD recording.  A native of New Zealand, Mark is a first class honours graduate of Auckland University.

Posts held in New Zealand include that of Assistant Organist at Auckland Cathedral. He studied with Harald Vogel at the North German Organ Academy and Jacques van Oortmerssen at Amsterdam's Sweelinck Conservatorium, and was a finalist in the Interpretation Competition of the St Alban's International Organ Festival. For a time he was Organist at Christ's Hospital, England's famous bluecoat school, before coming to Dublin in 1992.
