Men's Suit FabricNow that we have mastered the suit color and took the basic suit, which should be in everyone’s wardrobe, it’s time to start thinking about how to add patterns to the mix. Patterned fabrics help to be a breath of fresh air in what is otherwise a somewhat stilted selection of costumes.

As expected, the patterns are slightly heavier than the solid colors and requires more thought into their decisions. As a general rule, the patterns are less formal than solid colors, and so reserved for more casual occasions. The exception to this rule are pinstriped, as in all but the most formal event is on par with other dark suit, and in fact are an integral part of certain types of formal wear. The same applies to the content and the primary colors, large patterns small and less formal than are bold, colorful patterns, less formal than reserved, monochromatic it.

Men’s Suit Fabric – Stripes Stripes
With him out of the way, is the first model to get the stripes to be considered. Stripes on suits are always vertical, but comes in a variety of styles. The first is primarily and most classic pinstripe. A pinstripe suit, especially a navy pinstripe suit is a very traditional look, almost a uniform type of business man. Needle Stripes, as the name implies, is very narrow, but generally prominent stripes, usually in white, but gray is a not-uncommon choice, especially in dark gray or black suits. Sometimes you will find stripes in other colors – pastels were in vogue for a while – if these suits are fast from mundane when that has expired. They also limit the possibilities for wear, as both informal and somewhat harder to fit in a shirt and tie. A classic white pinstripe never goes out of style.

These and all stripes can help the wearer seem higher because they prefer face-up, and a heavyset man appear thinner, by breaking up and draw attention away from the fixed center section. This is especially true for thin, thick series of strips pinstripes. There are other bands, including the thicker chalk stripe, as an opportunity for the master closet. These strips, which are usually set farther apart due to their greater width is much less formal than pinstripes, while continuing to give the appearance of increased height is less suitable for large men, due to which they can draw attention to scale.

Control
Move the strip is checked. Control comes in a variety of styles, but the most famous among them is probably the plaid. Plaid in American English is synonymous with tartan plaid pattern most closely associated with Scottish clans. In British English, especially in Scotland, plaid refers to a thick tartan cloth used both as a carpet and thrown over the shoulders while wearing a kilt. What is not synonymous with plaid is to verify that describes any substance with intersecting horizontal and vertical stripes. Be worn with the exception of a legitimate Scottish tartan as part of a solemn occasion, checks are always less formal than solids or stripes.

Men’s Suit Fabric – Glen CheckGlen Check
While probably the most famous tartans control for most people is probably the most common glen for suits. This test, check the too often when the Prince of Wales resembles a tartan, although it is monochromatic in the first place. It uses bands of vertical and horizontal stripes, which, when considered as a unit, check to make a broader impact in the fabric. Glen check has deep associations with the land and carry on the weekend – for the use of English nobles in Scotland, who lacked a family tartan created – even though it is for most semi-formal occasions. It may be frowned upon in certain occupations with particularly strict dress code, but should be an acceptable if not welcome divergence for most men.

Rude
Another control option is windowpane, a much more daring option, where stripes form checks are far apart, creating a checkerboard effect. Full plate does not fit more often found, even though the field jackets from time to time may occur. A heavy dose of confidence and a certain elegance is needed to hijack this kind of bold patterns.

Men’s Suit Fabric – Herringbone and Houndstooth and HoundstoothHerringbone
A more subtle possibility is herringbone, found a small arrow-shaped pattern often in heavy fabrics like tweed. Herringbone, like Glen check is a suitable pattern for most occasions, but because it usually adorns heavy fabrics, it is usually fit in the winter and the country. Similarly, Houndstooth, which is somewhat reminiscent of a saw blade, a pattern corresponds much more common in jackets as full.

View from the sky and nailhead
Somewhere between solids and stripes in formality from a bird’s-eye or nailhead, which is intensively with the emergence of small dots of a lighter color on a darker background. A suit appears from the sky in general as a permanent place between the two colors that correspond to the effect of an Oxford cloth shirt. Nail-head is in an apartment, where would strip and can be solid at all but the most formal occasions to be replaced.

There are a number of other patterns – bolder varieties of check, diagonals, argyle, paisley, Madras – although they are not looking, the costumes, at least not on the costumes worn by a gentleman. These are things to get into the realm of shirts, ties and socks, which are addressed in the future, will be considered together with the true pattern art form: matching two or more.
